Wiltshire Wedding Photography with Amy and Jack

October 9, 2012 by Naomi

Jack and Amy held their wedding at The Rectory Hotel near Malmesbury in Wiltshire. From the second we arrived we were blown away by this gorgeous place! It’s an absolutely stunning wedding venue. See that church tower just peeping behind the trees? That’s All Saints Church where Jack and Amy were married – a little gate in the corner of the lawn takes you into the church grounds….perfect!!

Amy chose the room where she and her bridesmaids would get ready because of the gorgeous wallpaper…she was thinking of the background for photos! We LOVE couples who think about their photos like that!! The whole hotel was full of brilliant spaces to use for photographing details. I was almost breathless with excitement when I saw these little chairs!!

Meanwhile just a few yards away Jack was waiting patiently in the equally beautiful church.

Outside a surprise Chimney Sweep for good luck was waiting. 🙂

We snuck Amy and Jack away for a few portraits while the guests walked round to the hotel. It was yet another very hot Saturday….everyone says it’s been a miserable summer, but the Saturdays have been aMAZing!! We’ve photographed a wedding almost every weekend since April, and we’ve only had one which has been affected by bad weather. No joke. This particular day was almost too hot, but of course no Brit will ever complain about that. 🙂

The Rectory was beautifully styled by Amy in the gorgeous vintage-y personalised look that so many of us are completely in love with these days.

I particularly loved the mix and match collection of glassware, done up with various ribbons and twine. It must have been brilliant fun getting all those together!

I’m really into one- or two-tier cakes at the moment; so elegant I think!

Jack and Amy thought about the timings of their afternoon really well. There was loads of time for laid-back mingling, as well the group photos they wanted and a wander around the lovely grounds with the two of them, without any of it feeling rushed or ‘timetabled.’ It was too hot for rushing anyway, plus you just couldn’t want a better spot for relaxing on a sunny afternoon!

The speeches were held on the lawn before going in to dinner, perfectly in keeping with the whole chilled-out atmosphere.

All the photos are now up on the Clients page of our Wedding Photography web site, with a 20% discount on any prints or products ordered in the first ten days. Thanks so much you two for the pleasure of working at such a great place with such a lovely group of people. We seriously had an awesome day!
