The Plough Rhosmaen – wedding of Menna and Owain

November 6, 2010 by vincesjones

For an Autumn wedding Menna and Owain’s day was blessed with beautiful weather and the most amazing light. This could only add to the joy that was so apparent on the day. Even though we didn’t meet Owain and Menna until the wedding day, as often happens with couples coming home from away to get married, we instantly felt so welcome and comfortable with them both. Have a look through our  selection of favourites and see for yourself the fabulous atmosphere of their day.

Oh the light!! So delicious!

This is the utterly gorgeous Capel Bethel at Porthyrhyd, Carmarthenshire.

The image below is Naomi’s favourite capture of the day.

And the one below is Vince’s. 🙂

The wedding party went on to Aberglasney Gardens for family and couple photos.

Then it was on to The Plough in Rhosmaen for a laid-back and sunny reception.

This is Menna’s brother who claimed to hate the camera. He seemed a natural to me!

I absolutely loved the buttons on the cake – we’ve never seen one like it before. And the “cake topper” showed the couple playing some of their instruments – the real things were displayed around the venue.

The fabulous speeches were professionally translated for non Welsh speakers. In a bi-lingual country it’s always a bit of a dilemma how to approach the speeches and we thought this was a fantastic idea which showed great attention to detail!

The increasingly common practice of two Best Men is always good for extra laughs.

All the photos are now available to view and purchase here. Thanks again to Menna and Owain and their families for the wonderful welcome.
