Back at the end of July we had a lovely day of understated elegance with Sophie and Emlyn at Llys Meddyg Restaurant in Newport, Pembrokeshire.
Sophie decided she didn’t want her preparations photographed so we began at the beautiful rustic little St Mary’s Church in Manorwen, near Goodwick. It was bursting with flowers – I particularly liked how well the lavender bunches worked with the unvarnished wood of the pews. And I LOVE the bouquets, so natural looking and full of my favourite sweet peas. 🙂

After church we nipped off to Cwm yr Eglwys for a bit of quiet time. It was actually a lovely day for it – much as couples and guests love brilliant sunshine, you do need to work harder to avoid squintiness or harsh contrasting shadows on your faces, so don’t be worried at all if you get an overcast day! It gives a lovely clean, clear light for portraits, as you can see below!

Then Sophie and Emlyn got a warm welcome to Llys Meddyg, one of our favourite venues. Fabulous food and always a warm family atmosphere. The kind of vibe you might get holding your reception in your own garden. 🙂
