One of the very hottest days of this amazing hot summer was Nina and Rhys’s gorgeous wedding day at the beginning of June. We photographed Nina’s sister’s wedding in the same church a few years ago and it was great to be welcomed back by the whole family. They are just as good as ever at relaxed sun-soaked pre-wedding breakfasts!
Bridesmaids Lisa and Lisa are also previous brides of ours – it really was a lovely big reunion!
We took some relaxed portraits on the way out of the churchyard, before getting out on the hills for a few more.
Although friends were the designated wedding drivers they were not to be outdone by the pros and had the champagne at the ready.
Jabajak Vineyard and Restaurant is a relatively new and entirely cool wedding venue. You can see what a great summer chill-out it was in this perfect weather. Even the speeches were outside, which as photographers we absolutely LOVE you to do if you have the opportunity. It makes such a relaxed atmosphere , and we have total freedom to move around and get every great angle.
I should make this a caption contest as to what on earth is going on here. In fact the groom is taking revenge on the guest who caused him the most stress by RSVPing last! Be warned!!
Later we snuck a few more quiet moments with Nina and Rhys around the vineyard and gardens. They were such naturals in front of the camera and the light was so delicious that we couldn’t resist – it was truly idyllic.
