Moray and Darren at Llanbadarn Fynydd

June 1, 2012 by Naomi

I was really excited for a truly outdoor wedding with Moray and Darren and after a week of rain at the beginning of May, their day dawned with perfect blue skies. Moray and her bridal party began the day at the stunningly located and utterly gorgeous Hiraeth holiday cottage, where with the help of a couple of friends they did each other’s hair and make-up in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

The wedding was held in the grounds of the New Inn, in Llanbadarn Fynydd near Llandrindod Wells, which Darren’s family once owned and where he grew up. It’s great when a couple can be married in a place that really truly means something to them…it really adds something to the feeling of the day.

Moray’s awesome vintage car helpfully informed us just how perfect the weather was!!

Moray and Darren’s gorgeous little daughter fell asleep on the drive and ended up sleeping out the ceremony in the nice shady car. 🙂 She was such a cutie and so good all day!

It was a complete surprise to the guests to find that Marc the Best Man was conducting the ceremony! Any nerves didn’t show at all, and it was a beautiful personal occasion. (And of course we loved having no registrar restrictions and being able to get all angles!!)

What a beautiful bride!!!!! 🙂

Vince got a few minutes to join this gorgeous little family on a drive for some photos all together. The little one certainly had a great time driving Mum and Dad.

This is the transformed Village Hall, made beautiful with so many bright and sparkly details.

I particularly loved the Wishing Trees, which dripped with fairy lights and dangly crystals, as well as loads of love from friends and family.

After dinner we had perfect sunset light for a few more photos before settling in for a good old party.

No shortage of cake. Always a good thing.

The couple below worked SO HARD for this wedding…and have since emigrated to Canada!! Hello you two, we hope things are going smoothly for you as you settle into your new life.

We didn’t meet Moray and Darren before the wedding because of their distance from us, but on the day I basically forgot we’d never met and felt completely welcome and involved. Thank you so much to you and your families and all the bridal party for helping us out so happily. We had a really fab day! Thank you for the privilege of sharing your celebrations. All the photos from the day are now available on the Clients page of our Wedding Photography web site with a discount for any prints or products ordered in the first ten days.
