Lisa and Rhodri had a typical autumn wedding – typical in that every type of weather made an appearance through the day! But as you’ll see the rain can’t wash away any smiles from this bright and colourful day. I particularly like the fuschia colour scheme followed through so consistently in all the little touches, and lots of brilliant DIY details.
Lisa’s family had a busy year – we photographed her sister Sara’s wedding six months earlier! It was lovely in the morning seeing Sara doing Lisa’s make-up etc and generally taking such good care of her. 🙂
At the start of the portrait shoot it was pouring down too much for Lisa and Rhodri to get out of the car. (Yes, you’re right, it was beautiful sunshine outside the church just a minute ago!!) We think they managed something rather memorable and unique all the same!
When we’re up in the hills and so close to the sea the weather can change minute to minute, and mile to mile, so while we did manage plenty of images out in the stunning Preseli scenery, but the time we arrived at Wolfscastle it was chucking down again! One thing we really like about this sleek modern venue is the glass atrium – a space large enough for huge group photos in entirely natural light, so you never had to worry about the weather when going there.
Of course pretty soon the clouds parted and we got outside into some seriously beautiful light.
We loved being with Lisa’s family again, and amongst a group of friends that we have come to know well. All the photos can be seen, purchased, and viewed as a slideshow on the Client Galleries page of our Wedding Photography web site.
