Jo and Matt got married in May at Gellifawr in the Gwaun Valley in Pembrokeshire. We arrived at the same time as Jo arrived from the hairdressers and when we saw how she was rapturously greeted in the car park by many stylish friends, we knew immediately what a great atmosphere this wedding was going to have.
While Jo and her girls got settled in to the bridal suite, we found Matt’s mum downstairs assembling this stunner of a wedding cake that she made herself. She is not a professional cake maker!! She should be, don’t you agree.
The amazing DIY doesn’t end there…the very elegant yet easy-to-wear bridesmaid dresses were all made by the mother of the Maid of Honour!! The girls all did their own make-up and had a very chilled-out time of it with plenty of time for champagne and crisps! (I was the only one worrying about Quaver dust on the wedding dress- everyone else was too relaxed!)
The bridal party were great sports with their photos – all the lads were convinced this jetty was going to collapse underneath them! Unique though THOSE pictures would have been, happily no one was wetted in the making of these images. 🙂
Then we had a few minutes for a stroll (barefooted in Jo’s case!) in the local bluebell woods we had scouted out earlier.
I couldn’t resist including this cuteness. 🙂 Lovely to see the partner of the bouquet-catcher being thrilled about it, instead of pretending to be really embarrassed amidst a ribbing from the other men! Even more of a good omen than actually catching the bouquet wouldn’t you say! 😉 They were such an adorable couple.
All the photos can be viewed on the Clients page of our Wedding Photography web site. Congratulations to Jo and Matt and thank you so much for including us in your gorgeous day!
