On a gorgeous sunny day last autumn Elinor and Alun got married in the lovely seaside village of Fishguard and went on to Wolfscastle Country Hotel for their reception. Elinor was such an incredibly smiley bride and her family were all so friendly and welcoming that we just had a great time with them. It was the day of Wales’s Rugby World Cup quarter-final, which of course featured – as you’ll see. 🙂 You’ll also see gorgeous florals, the cutest flower girls ever, a horse-drawn carriage and some karaoke! Enjoy. 🙂
These beauties are the Gentle Giants of Pembrokeshire who we have the pleasure of meeting frequently. Elinor was at least as excited to greet them as she was to see Alun!
I loved the very natural laidback centrepieces of books, wildflowers and herbs. And nobody objected to the fact that pretty much every centrepiece had the subtle addition of a screen propped up against it! Eli and Alun even had their own; and I felt pretty sure that the speeches were carefully timed to allow everyone to focus on the match for the last crucial minutes! It was a close one, but the fact that it went the wrong way in the end didn’t put any sort of dampener on the energetic evening party that followed.
