We’ve now had the pleasure of photographing Suzy & Hefin three times. Their engagement shoot, the beautiful wedding day – and then a fab Take 2 Session in Pembrokeshire (we’ll show you some of those in the next couple of weeks, but stay sitting down if you get vertigo!)
Their wedding was a real Celtic affair with the ceremony in Brecon Cathedral, Powys, and Suzy’s family travelling over from Eire.
Suzy found this copy of GBS a few days before the wedding and Naomi also has a penchant for literature and old books, so in it went with the flowers.
Whilst Suzy and the girls busied themselves at a lovely local cottage cottage, Hefin and his helpers had spent the morning setting up the Marquee on the family estate, then a very speedy dressing session.
Meanwhile, back at the girls…
The quartet of friends warmed their lungs and the acoustic of the Cathedral. They were simply beautiful.
A heavy rain shower prevented photos in the grounds so Vince scaled a rather high ladder to get the group shot.
And then to the small hamlet of Battle for a wonderful reception in the grounds of Hefin’s family home, carefully manicured by his mother, a true Capability Brown.
Entertainment came from the wonderful Amigos – and an impromptu sing-song ensued.
Whilst every one got seated for the wedding breakfast we took time to wander the gardens with Suzy & Hefin.
With so many Doctors on the guest list it seemed right that they got to use their skills carving the lamb for everyone…
A fabulous first dance (what lifts!) and then a good old party into the wee hours.
It was fabulous spending the day with such a wonderful group of people. We ended up with a LOT of photos and you can now see a slideshow of all the images from the day at our clients gallery.
